A Novel, a Novelist, and a Search for Publication
GRACE AT WAR, an 70,000-word literary/mainstream novel, takes place during the explosive summer of 1970, when sixteen-year-old Grace Hart, traumatized by her boyfriend’s suicide, emulates the locked-down emotions of her combat-veteran brother, Worth. Their quest to make peace with their shattering memories and losses takes them from upstate New York to Long Island and eventually into the north woods where Grace must face their differences in order to save Worth and herself.

ReplyDeleteHi, Susan!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see my words meant so much. I hope the rest was useful as well.
Good luck on the queries--I wish you the best!
Catherine, Thanks so much. The rest was incredibly helpful for the full rewrite, finished in March.
